The Northern Lights is based on the classic Rangemaster treble boost. It allows you to boost high frequency content to make notes on the guitar sing when playing.
 
It also works very well in front or behind the Tweed Drive range of pedals. The Northern Lights Boost also allows you to switch to increase the boosted frequency range from a treble, to a mid and full range boost.
